Imagine being separated from the most important support network, your family, during the most difficult times of your life, going through a cancer treatment yourself, or while caring for your ill loved one.

Thousands of the patients we serve have to leave their homes and loved ones behind to access diagnostics and treatment. They have to travel to a capital city, where life is most expensive and stay there for long periods of time while going through chemotherapy, and other procedures. During this time they try to save every bit of money to support the cost of accommodations, transportation, lab tests, and food. Spending money on calling their families is often impossible.

For every $20 donated to this program, The Max Foundation will provide a phone card to help a patient stay in touch with care-givers and loved-ones by land or cellular phone. Our project is underway in the US, Chile, Mexico, Russia and South Africa.
