With Love in Every Stitch

Children receiving chemotherapy treatment often experience a side-effect of losing their hair. In fact, in preparation to the treatment many hospitals shave children’s hair to avoid the traumatic effect of it later. These courageous patients and their families are often subject to long hospital stays during treatment with few comforts and limited emotional support. Based on research and experience, The Max Foundation recognizes the importance of supporting families and will present them with knitted hats for children to wear to brighten their experience.

Providing families with a colorful hat to cover their children's little heads will help improve the quality of life for young people living with blood cancer and their families.

In a few hours of your personal time you can create a fun colorful hat that The Max Foundation will give to a child in need in a participating country and hospital.
