Patient Services
We are here to support you, your family, and your caregivers and to work with your
healthcare professionals. Our team of advocates both in the United States and across
the world has experience in providing emotional support, informational referrals
and advocacy in over 30 languages.
Each year, we help over 20,000 patients and families in more than 100 countries
through our International Patient Helpline.
International Patient Helpline
The MAX Helpline, a flagship program of The MAX Foundation, is staffed by a team
of advocates who are able to assess a cancer patient or caregiver’s eligibility
for our two free programs. Program eligibility is determined through our phone intake
process, and based on the patient’s diagnosis and where the patient and or caregiver
reside.
- Patient Navigation: A program for people anywhere in the world living with
CML and GIST. We assist by mapping your healthcare system, with the aim of access
to treatment. Advocates help with practical care and support by identifying resources
that match the individual needs of each patient and family.

- Banding Together: A program for people anywhere in the world living with
a blood cancer or rare cancer who have a contact in the US interested in helping
with fundraising on your behalf. Through this program, we help loved ones by providing
fundraising mentorship so they may raise money for your treatment-related expenses.
