Harnessing the power of community
By 2030, it is estimated that the annual number of cancer-related deaths will increase to 16.5 million, with a disproportionate two-thirds occurring in low- and middle-income countries.
Max Think Tank was launched in 2024 to overcome these challenges and help people access treatment. It engages individuals to help The Max Foundation answer key strategic questions, and provides a forum to inform, share, and strategize how best to address the real-world barriers.
Our goal is to tap into the minds of our friends and supporters to create practical, actionable solutions that accelerate progress for patients who need treatment now.
Ongoing engagement strategy
Max Think Tank will meet periodically each year, with both virtual sessions and an annual in- person meeting. Topics addressed include:
- Access in low- and middle-income countries when innovative drugs become generic
- Identifying barriers to treatment access and developing a useful implementation framework to guide other programs
- How to strengthen our monitoring and evaluation framework and reports
- Identifying opportunities to amplify our voice and increase financial resources

Membership is on an invitation-only basis and representatives will include like-minded individuals who are personally aligned with The Max Foundation and committed to its success. These individuals share our vision and values, and they’re experts across academia, business, technology, finance, law, medicine, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, global health, and technology.
