Supporting Physicians on the Frontline
We are committed to supporting our partner physicians so they have the necessary knowledge to diagnose and manage chronic cancers. Through our CML Medical Advisory Board and other partners, we connect physicians with international organizations and key leaders who serve as mentors and facilitate educational and capacity-building activities.
Education and Awareness
We believe that every patient should have equal access to test results and know what it means for their treatment path. We are currently working with dozens of local organizations that help support, educate, and empower thousands of patients and caregivers at events around the world.
Caring for the Whole Patient
Improving health outcomes for people living with cancer in low- and middle-income countries is about more than medication access. Numerous studies suggest that Social Determinants of Heath (SDoH), the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life, significantly influence between 30-55% of health outcomes.
Going Beyond Access to Treatment
Recognizing the importance of addressing these barriers, The Max Foundation and its partners implement diverse SDoH programs across cultures and geographies to help ensure patients achieve the best possible outcome of treatment. These programs include transportation assistance, ongoing education, and patient support groups.
