Join us this summer in Malaysia! In July 2017, a team of partners, cancer survivors, and friends like you will join us from the USA, Malaysia, and beyond to embark on an adventure with a common goal: raising funds to carry out our work supporting cancer patients in Malaysia.
When he was initially diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, Prashant’s first concerns weren’t whether he would be able to afford treatment, it was about how much time he had left…years? Months? Would he be able to complete his degree? Would he be able to care for his father? But his doctor reassured him. Treatment was available, and before he could worry about the cost of it, Prashant was connected with The Max Foundation and worked on getting enrolled in the access program we administer.
Three years ago I made a decision that changed my life: to donate my birthday to support the work of The Max Foundation for as long as I have birthdays to come. Ever since I have been involved with The Max Foundation, every day I am witness to the courage of people faced with cancer, the generosity of spirit of those who become patient leaders, and the dedication of healthcare providers around the world. As all of us prepare to either travel back home or to receive our family members in our homes, we are reminded that the most valuable thing we have is each other.
We are excited to share our 2014 Annual Report with you! This year, our Annual Report outlines how The Max Foundation is building on its mission to increase global access to treatment, care, and support. We detail how our organization is building ecosystems that help people facing cancer in a myriad of ways: from medical treatment to emotional support; from patient education to community engagement. Throughout the report, we feature patient leaders who work to give back to their community. And of course, we transparently report on our finances.
This summer, India Country Head Viji Venkatesh is crisscrossing the USA to host Chai for Cancer addas and share The Max Foundation vision. Started in India, Chai for Cancer is our global initiative to invite our community to partner with us. There have already been a number of events in Houston, Charlotte, and New Jersey with more to come!
The Max Foundation’s new headquarters is still buzzing with all the great energy that filled our offices thanks to new and old friends that attended our recent Open House on April 9th. We welcomed our Seattle community to join us on what we called our world tour. Visitors were invited to move from region to region in order to learn about our work in Asia Pacific, Africa, Latin America and, of course, North America.

After more than 15 years in Edmonds, Washington, The Max Foundation is excited to announce we have moved our global headquarters to the city of Seattle. We are pleased to be settling into our new office space on the north shore of Lake Union.
